My last holydays

Last summer I went on holidays to Argentina and Uruguay. I hitch hiked with my boyfriend all through both countries. We camped on service stations and made friends with truck drivers, who often gave us food or money. We met the most kind, interesting and all around caring people in the world.
At the beginning we travelled through the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan, Santiago del Estero, Tucumán, Salta and San Salvador de Jujuy. Maybe, one of the more breathtaking things was the poverty level in the north of Argentine.

After that we crossed from Gualeguaychú to Mercedes. We saw the Montevideo´s carnaval at the first day in the capital, it was so funny! Also, we went to the beaches of Punta del Este and Rocha. La Paloma was my favorite one; in that place we saw many birds, creatures of the sea and turtle´s eggs on the sand.

We travelled for about one month, until we had to come back because of an emergency. It definitely was one of the best holidays ever, because I learned more about other countries of South-America.
